The mystery of the caves meets the liveliness of the town and its Romagna cuisine
The excursion begins in Piazza Ganganelli with a meeting with the guide at the Triumphal Arch, the symbol of Santarcangelo, where the history of the square and the events linked to Pope Clement XIV will be recounted.
The route continues with a brief stop at Combarbio and a visit to the suggestive Grotta Monumentale, a fascinating place full of mystery, characterised by tunnels and underground rooms that tell of a distant past.
This is followed by a tasting of typical local products and a guided walk through the old town, past monasteries, ancient gates, bastions and towers, to the Rocca Malatestiana, accompanied by stories, curiosities and anecdotes about the history of the city and the Malatesta family.
