Over the decades, there have been many changes, in fashions, music and styles, but the connection between the Riviera and venues for dancing has always remained strong. They are true places of sociality, meetings over the generations, fun and trends. Places that have gradually become poles of attraction, until they were transformed, from the second post-war period to today, into structural components of the tourist offer.
The Riviera, in fact, has always been recognised for its clubs. In the Sixties, its “Dolce Vita” happened at night. In the clubs of Rimini, Riccione, Cattolica - Embassy, Casina del Bosco, Savioli, Cambusa - people in elegant clothes sipped drinks and listened to the icons of Italian music live on stage. The 70s and 80s then saw the transformation of dance halls into clubs, and the cultural revolution of the time brought new sounds and new ways of having fun. Altro Mondo Studios, Carnaby, Locanda del Lupo, Life, Mon Amour, Blow Up, Paradiso, Melody Mecca... just to name a few of the fundamental venues of the nights on the Riviera.
In the 90s, the Romagna Riviera was consecrated as the capital of nightlife at an international level: Peter Pan, Prince, Pascià, Villa delle Rose, Byblos, Cocoricò are the main architects of this recognition. Then, with the arrival of the new millennium, the seaside resorts Milano Marittima and Cervia exploded in the preferences of residents and vacationers, with the Pineta, the Baccarà, the Papeete, the Indies, entertainment spots frequented by footballers and starlets.
Dance clubs, like the nights on the coast of Romagna, never stop and once again stand as forerunners of new models of sociality and trendsetters. Investments are multiplying throughout the Riviera to meet the new demands of the public, which are constantly evolving, and today they give us a varied, fascinating and multifaceted world of nightlife, to be experienced and discovered.
