Towards the hills, Cervia’s hamlets are characterized by agricultural landscapes with many landmarks like the 977 AD S. Stefano parish church in Pisignano (12 km) decorated with excellent frescoes, or the Madonna degli Angeli church, and the river park in Cannuzzo (16 km), as well as San Lorenzo oratory and Duke D’Altemps forest in Castiglione di Cervia (12 km).
The hills of Romagna are perfect for nature trails or religious and culinary day-trips: a stroll among picturesque villages like Montebello (45 km) with its castle inhabited by Azzurrina’s ghost, or the medieval forts of Bertinoro (29 km) and Sarsina (57 km), Plauto’s birthplace.
