We look forward to seeing you from 11.00 am to kick off an exciting insect safari, an engaging and adventurous activity perfect for the whole family. Armed with curiosity and a keen eye, we’ll explore the Garden’s microcosm together, discovering its tiny inhabitants—often invisible but vital to the balance of nature. An educational and fun experience, ideal for introducing adults and children to the world of insects in a direct and exciting way.
The event is free and suitable for all ages, but places are limited: booking is therefore essential.

At 3.00 pm, there will be a themed guided tour dedicated to the insects that inhabit Valbonella during the summer season. Accompanied by an expert guide, you’ll have the chance to deepen your understanding of these extraordinary creatures, discovering their role in the ecosystem, their habits and many fascinating facts.
At 4.30 pm, the day is enriched with a special event: the presentation of the book “From Flower to Flower: Bees and Other Pollinating Insects” by Serena Magagnoli, entomologist, nature photographer and researcher at the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences and Technologies at Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna.
