On 5 and 6 January, the streets of Comacchio's historic centre come alive with a joyous and festive atmosphere.
5 January is a day full of events dedicated to the Befana, and one of the most eagerly awaited is "La Tamplà", the traditional march of the Befane. This colourful parade passes through the heart of Comacchio, with costumed participants and, of course, the friendly figure of the Befana singing the traditional dialect motto 'A Van la Vecie'. The Befana dei Pompieri will launch herself with spectacular flight from the Clock Tower, providing a moment of great emotion and magic.
On 6 January, the party continues with a whole day of entertainment and merriment: children will be the protagonists, and sweets and candies will be distributed in every corner of the centre. During the morning, the befana will be at the Manifattura dei marinati and in the afternoon at 6 p.m. the Befana will greet all young visitors from the monumental Trepponti bridge, accompanied by an extraordinary fireworks display that will light up the Comacchio sky. Amidst dancing, singing, and lights, the day will end in a blaze of colours and sounds, bidding a final farewell to one of the most eagerly awaited festivities of the year.
