Sunday 29 December at 9 p.m., at the Teatro Diego Fabbri in Forlì, there will be a show-concert by Mirko Casadei BIG BAND, hosted by the Meldola group Khorakhanè.
An end-of-year tribute to the Town of Forlì on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Romagna Mia: admission will be free, subject to availability.
The anniversary of ‘Romagna mia’ is a special one: composed by Maestro Secondo Casadei, ‘the Strauss of Romagna’, and launched at international level by the ‘King of Liscio’ Raoul Casadei, ‘Romagna mia’ represents one of the songs that has made the history of Italian music, becoming the anthem of a people and a land.
The great innovation of the show is the Casadei Big Band, made up of musicians who play strictly live, under the guidance of Mirko Casadei, the artist who more than any other, in the sign and respect of a family tradition, has been able to reinterpret in a ‘modern’ key the legendary song, the queen of Liscio, by popularising ‘Romagna mia’ in his many concerts around Italy and the world and through the many musical contaminations with internationally famous artists.
The evening's guests will be Khorakhané, who will perform several songs together with Mirko, contaminating popular music from Romagna with singer-songwriter folk music in the style of ‘De André’, with the intention of enhancing and relaunching even more this great tradition of Liscio, which is a candidate to become a Unesco Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
