On Sunday 30 November 2025, the lights of the Maritime Crib and Christmas tree in Cesenatico will be switched on. The display, organised by the Municipality, will remain visible until 11 January 2026. During the same period, the Canal Harbour, the roof of stars in Piazza Ciceruacchio and the tree in Piazza Pisacane will also be illuminated.
The floating nativity scene, created in 1986, consisting of 50 statues carved from pine wood and finished with wax and traditional fabrics, depicts the life of local seafarers: fishermen, craftsmen, musicians, angels and other characters are the figures that animate it. The floating nativity scene is designed just like a theatre set to be admired from the Leonardesque Canal Harbour, made even more evocative by the evening lights that make it shine as if on a stage.
