From October 18th 2025 to January 18th 2026, Ravenna hosts the 9th edition of the Biennial of Contemporary Mosaic.
Ravenna presents itself to the public as the capital of mosaics, highliting an artistic vocation focused on contemporary production but always connected to the ancient Byzantine tradition.
The city opens its most charming locations to artists from all over the world, giving life to a rich programme of events: monuments, museums, cloisters and symbolic spaces become special galleries where ancient and contemporary art continuously dialogue with each other.
The MAR - Ravenna Art Museum will host Marc Chagall in Mosaic, a significant exhibition dedicated to one of the greatest masters of the 20th century, tracing his history through mosaics, projects and collaborations with artists and mosaicists from Ravenna.
