As part of the Tesori Aperti (Open Treasures) event, a night walk from Castrocaro Terme to Monte Poggiolo will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
This is an opportunity to discover the Romagna hillside landscape, with its nature, archaeology and history.
Along the route we will visit the Church of Santa Maria di Ciola, dating back to the 12th century, and then reach the Rocca di Monte Poggiolo, an ancient fortress with breathtaking views of the Montone valley and the archaeological site of Ca' Belvedere, a key site for the study of the origins of man in Europe.
The walk, led by an AIGAE Environmental Hiking Guide, is on a scenic 6-km route (elevation gain +150 m), suitable for everyone.
