On September 26 and 27 in Pennabilli, in the Rimini hinterland known as Montefeltro, an event is held to promote and celebrate traditional, ancient, or “forgotten” crops, as well as biodiversity—that is, the vast variety of plants that allows for an extreme diversity of colors, flavors, resilience, and nutritional content.
In the historic center of the village, which overlooks the green Marecchia valley, there are markets, themed exhibitions, conferences, and cultural gatherings dedicated to agriculture and “ancient fruits,” workshops focused on crafts using natural materials, creative activities for children, and entertainment and folk performances.
