The legendary venues of the Riviera, the golden age of nightclubs: a trip down memory lane and into the world of nightlife, courtesy of a new podcast entitled “A Recap of the Last Few Nights”. A narrative curated by the legendary DJ Betty Miranda, which traces the history and epic of amusement via exclusive interviews with its unforgettable protagonists.
There are twenty episodes that will be released every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday until 20 July; they can be found on various platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, Spreaker) by searching for “Riassunto delle Nottate precedenti” (A Recap of the Last Few Nights). The project’s target audience is those who lived through those years, but above all those who want to learn about the history of entertainment and how it has evolved in terms of music, stage design and fashion.
The purpose of this “Recap” is to tell the story of the people, venues, concerts, trends and fashions that brought the nights of the Romagna Riviera to life from the start of the economic boom to the end of the millennium, making it one of the key destinations for European tourism. A reputation as the home of the “culture” of entertainment that persists still today.
The podcasts were produced through interviews with key figures, eyewitnesses to previously untold events, and anecdotes told by managers and industry insiders from that era. The interviews were carried out face-to-face or, in exceptional cases, over the phone; they are informal and conversational, and are introduced by two episodes that talk about the origins of nightlife
The themes of the 20 episodes begin with the origins of entertainment on the Riviera and go from the 1920s to the present day, featuring figures such as Paolo Righetti (musician and impresario), Gianni Fabbri’s Il Paradiso and the Bandiera Gialla with DJ Enzo Persuader; and also, Claudio Cecchetto, Giancarlo Tirotti of “Baia degli Angeli”, “Aquafan” and numerous others, all the way up to the story of today’s entertainment, thanks to the creativity and devotion of those entrepreneurs working to uphold the Riviera’s reputation.
