On Sunday 9 August, from 5.00 pm, the “Sagra del Tortello di Verghereto” returns – a traditional event (the first edition dates back to 1967) that is eagerly awaited and celebrates one of the village’s culinary specialities.
The authentic, traditional tortello of Verghereto is stuffed with ricotta and potatoes and then deep-fried. Prepared and cooked by local housewives at the food stalls set up for the occasion, you can enjoy it along the street that runs alongside Piazza San Michele, the heart of little Verghereto.
This delicious tortello can be considered a form of street food, which is why the festival will truly be an unmissable opportunity to rediscover the local traditions of this area, part of the Cesenate Apennines.
The evening will be enlivened by music in an atmosphere of cheer and conviviality.
